Marsha was the first Brundrett to work in the company where she started as secretary/draftsperson for Tommy Griffith in 1976. Marsha made Rockport her home in high school. Tired of board drafting, she self-taught herself AutoCAD and then bought plotters and computers so all drafting would be automated. Before her full retirement in 2017, she drafted, handled all the accounting, and kept the company running smoothly. After over 40 years devoted to the success of G&B, she is now able to spend her time walking on Water Street, serving at her church, and enjoying her love of camping outdoors. When their family grew and she needed a more flexible schedule, it was Jerry’s moving request that made her take the leap of faith to join the family business. With only 2 weeks under her belt before Hurricane Harvey hit Rockport, she took the bull by the horns and ran with it. Elizabeth spent summers coming to Rockport in her teens. It was then she met her future husband, Brad, through mutual friends and their paths continued to cross throughout the years. One of the catalysts to moving back home to Rockport was purchasing Brad’s grandparents’ house on land that has been in the family for over 100 years. After Hurricane Harvey, Elizabeth took on the role of rebuilding and restoring the home with historical touches. Elizabeth has served as Chairperson of First Baptist Church’s Finance Committee and currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Aransas County Historical Society as Treasurer.
